Art by the Falls, June 11-12

For the first time, I am pleased to have been accepted into Art by the Falls! Held in the heart of Chagrin Falls alongside the river, it’s a gorgeous spot for a festival.

The dates for this year's festival are:

Sunday, June 12th: 11am-5pm

Art On The Green 2015, Hudson, Ohio

Art On The Green, my favorite show of the summer, is coming up soon!

Show dates and times are:

Saturday, August 29: 10am – 5pm
Sunday, August 30: 11am – 5pm

Held on the South Green in Hudson, Ohio, it has 150 artists from around the region. I will be in Booth #92, near the food court. Hope you can stop by and say hi!

Art Fair Aftermath

Ah, art fairs! Aren’t they fun? Wandering among the booths, browsing wares from familiar artists and new makers, picking up something cool for yourself or a gift.

Yes, and from my perspective as an exhibitor, they are fun to do. I love talking to people about my work, hearing what they enjoy, seeing what they’ve purchased, and watching them get jazzed about art in general. Plus, the artists at these shows are the nicest people around. I’ve made some great friends with folks in neighboring booths.

And, to be honest. I like setting up my booth and seeing my work all displayed in the bright white tent. It looks cool.

Art on the Green, August 23-24

Art on the Green in Hudson will be held August 23-24, 2014. With more than 150 artists, this show has lots to offer!

You will be able to find me in Space 14, right near the intersection of Rt. 303 and Rt. 91 Space 92 near the food court.

European Market Experience at Lock 3, Akron

CALL FOR ARTISTS:

In the tradition of European open air markets, the City of Akron will be holding nine consecutive farmers markets from July 28 to September 22.

What makes us European????? ART!

The Home Grown Saturday Morning Farmer’s Markets at Lock 3 Park will feature:

• Local farmers and produce,
• Weekly pancake breakfasts
• WAKR’s Live broadcast of the Tom Dayton Show
• Trolley tours of downtown Akron
• Children’s activities, crafts, and science experiments
• Akron’s History Exhibit and Toy and Marble Museum
  

And…….with your help, local artists at work with items available for purchase!

Jewelry, fine art, pottery, accessories, handmade books and papers, woodwork, hiking staffs, glass, paint, printmaking…and the list goes on and on!

All items must be handmade by the artist, and respect the family friendly atmosphere of the park.

I am looking for a few artists (3-7 or so per week) to come down to the park to work and show their artwork on Main Street in front of the fence line at Lock 3. This is a great way for young, emerging artists to show their work and show their talents to the public. Seasoned artists can enjoy the fresh air, new ideas and exposure to the public as well. People love to watch the artistic process, no matter what the medium, and it makes for great conversation and a better appreciation of the arts in the community. Ideally, you will be able to work on a piece (or pieces) on site in addition to having your finished pieces on display.

A covered table and chairs is available for your use. You need only bring your supplies and artwork. You may bring and set up a canopy of your own, no larger that 10 feet by 10 feet.

You are welcome to sell your work.

Artists are asked to arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. and stay until about 1 p.m.

I would like to generate an idea of days that different artists are available and interested in attending.
