Meet Me At the Market, September 11

Just got word that I've been accepted to the Handmade Market at the Wooltex Gallery on September 11!

I'm very excited! I participated in a Handmade Market last year in Chagrin Falls, and it was a wonderful experience: well run, very organized, great sales. 

I'm looking forward to this one; the Wooltex Gallery is a wonderful space. Here are details:

This market will be part of the Sparx City Hop and will include 25 artists, both inside the Gallery and outside on the front lawn of the building. Rain or shine! Free admission and off-street parking.

The artists will honor a 10% discount if you show your Sparx City Hop Passport.

Sketchbook Project

It's that time again. I've received my sketchbook for the next project, and it's time to get started. My theme this year is "Facing Forward", and I chose a book with a lovely red cover. It should be an interesting theme to explore. 

So far, 10,000 people - yes that's right - are participating. Imagine that: 10,000 sketchbooks touring the country.

The books will go to Brooklyn, Atlanta, Chicago, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, and Portland, Maine. I'm excited about Austin - the books will be at the SXSW festival on March 12, my birthday!

Garage Sale, July 23-24

Sorry, I've been gone too long. My apologies. I haven't been doing much art lately. Instead, I've been helping my parents sort through things at their house since they're thinking of downsizing.

To help them out, we're planning a garage sale this weekend:

Friday - Saturday

July 23-24

9 am - 3 pm

It's been quite an experience going through all that stuff. Fortunately, Mom and Dad are going through it with us so they can tell us all the stories about the things we're finding. We found some old musical scores in the basement. Turns out, my grandmother sang opera. Who knew!?

The photo above looks like a mess, but everything will be displayed beautifully on Friday. And that's barely the half of it. The other side of the garage is just as full. You name it, we have it.

If you're on the east side of Cleveland, please stop out. We're in the Pilgrim Village subdivision in Bainbridge Township. Take Rt. 422 to Rt. 306, then head south a half mile. We'll put up signs pointing to the house.
